PTSD is horrible at any age but worse at 15.

One day your plodding through life. You have three sons that you are so proud of. Three sons that you do anything for. Three sons that you watch like a hawk, spend all your energy making sure they are safe, happy and healthy. Sure we have our ups and downs, sometimes the downs are more than the ups but you know deep down in side you are doing your best to be a good parent. One day your oldest child starts to unravel little by little. I have decided to start a blog to keep family and friends up to date on Nathanael's Journey through
Post-traumatic stress disorder. (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. This disorder takes up a life of it's own. The life it is invading right now just happens to be my son Nathanael. One day he is a typical teenager going to school everyday, playing soccer, doing homework (sometimes) and hanging with his friends, then little by little something seems to be taking over his body.

  1. Donna, Thank you for creating this blog. I am so sorry to hear this news, but glad you finally have some answers about what is going on. There are several people in my life who have gone through devastating episodes of PTSD and have come through healthy and strong. He has you and a village of support. I am so sorry he and your family have to go through this. I am here if you need anything.
